Margherita's Senior Independent painting project on Food Insecurity. The goal of this project was to push what portraiture means to her. Displaying lives without faces. It tackles the euphoric feelings of everyday stability, while acknowledging their expirations.

During Margherita's time at Penny W. Stamps, she explored with a variety of mediums including charcoal.

This body of work reflects on Margherita's figure paintings, from self-portraiture to depictions of live models.

Margherita Hill’s oil painting series, created as part of the University of Michigan’s Penny W. Stamps BA Senior Independent Studio, explores the grieving process of Margherita and her sister following their mother’s loss. Reflecting on, and reimagining spaces the two can no longer return to.

During my time studying at the University of Michigan, I worked as the Social Outreach chair of Helicon Haus, an Undergraduate Art History Society. I created several poster designs using Graphic Design principles.
